Irvine, CA (PRWEB) December 30, 2008

Traditionally, New Year’s has been a time to reflect on the past year and set positive goals for the coming year. Although “losing weight” and “getting out of debt” usually make the list, why not resolve to protect your identity? Here are four good reasons why you should:

1. Never underestimate the power of the criminal mind.
Whether they are sending out official-looking “phishing” emails to try to “hook” you in to revealing your personal information or snooping through your mailbox for checks or pre-approved credit offers that they can use to steal your identity, identity thieves today seem to be more clever and more ruthless.

2. Who desire to spend lots of time and money to reclaim their identity?
Victims of identity theft can spend hundreds of hours of personal time and thousand of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses to restore their good name. Imagine how busy you are now with work, family and trying to ride out the economic storm. You certainly don’t want the added hassle and frustration of having your identity stolen.

3. You could be a victim of a data break and not know it.
Almost every week there is a data breach at some company, hospital, university, or government entity. Your name, address, Social Security number, and credit card number could fall into the wrong hands without your knowledge. Although not all data breaches result in an identity theft, the potential damage is a very real concern.

5. Now more than ever, it pays to have good credit.
As banks, lenders and credit card companies adjust their lending practices, there has never been a more important time to keep a close eye on your credit. You certainly don’t want a stolen identity to prevent you or delay you from getting your next home loan, car loan or credit card.

While many people have a standing New Year’s resolution they commit to every January, only to lose momentum somewhere along the way, protecting your identity is much easier than starting a diet or going on a budget.

There are a number of trusted identity protection products on the market which offer important benefits such as daily 3-Bureau credit report monitoring, email alerts of credit report changes, fraud resolution assistance and monetary reimbursement for certain out-of-pocket expenses.

About ProtectMyID.com™:
ProtectMyID.com is a leading, full-service provider of proactive identity theft detection, protection and fraud resolution.

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) April 23, 2012

ESCORT Inc. (ESCORTinc.com), designer and manufacturer of the world’s better premium self-propelling accessories, is demonstrating two of its unexampled products at the NAFA 2012 Institute and Expo Show (National Association of Fleet Management/Managers) this week in St. Louis – the multi-award winning [ESCORT Live™ real-time ticket protection network and ESCORT”s first ever Mobile Business PC for fleet and business operators, ESCORT SmartOffice™.

“It is widely known that ESCORT provides the most advanced radar and laser defense on the market. Now we have expanded our line of premium automotive accessories by offering our new ESCORT SmartOffice™ connected mobile PC solution for the millions of fleet and owner/operator service providers who need office tools on the go,” said ESCORT President and CEO John Larson. “SmartOffice™ allows fleet and mobile service providers to access files, conduct point-of-sale transactions (POS) in the field and importantly, conduct their business right in the field, anytime and anywhere they are called.”

ESCORT SmartOffice™ is much more than another rugged, mobile PC. ESCORT SmartOffice™ rugged, mobile PC consolidates complete office functionality into a single, connected mobile device. Based on familiar Microsoft Windows 7 OS and complete PC functionality, SmartOffice™ includes navigation, point-of-sale credit card processing, fleet vehicle management, remote inventory/CRM management, barcode/RFID reader, reverse camera option and fleet transportation/logistics monitoring. SmartOffice™ gives drivers and service providers all of their office tools fast, with accurate business solutions, delivered right where they need them – in the field, in real time.

In addition to presenting its new fleet management products on the NAFA show floor in St. Louis, ESCORT will also be featuring its multi-award winning [ESCORT Live™‘social network for the road’ (booth # 815). ESCORT invites NAFA fleet managers and show attendees to experience a personal demonstration of ESCORT Live™’s real-time threat and information sharing.

“ESCORT’s position and reputation as the leading innovator and provider of the most advanced radar and laser defense on the market is undisputed,” said Larson. “We’ve raised that bar with Escort Live™ and keeping to redefine ‘impulsive smarter’ with new technologies like ESCORT SmartOffice™.”

ESCORT has seen its highly successful multi-award winning ESCORT Live™ ticket protection network continue to receive national accolades and awards. In addition to being included in Edmunds ‘Top Ten New Products’ list, ESCORT Live™ has also been named a CES 2012 Innovations Design and Engineering Award winner as well as ‘Best New Mobile Product’ at SEMA.

ESCORT Live™ uses Bluetooth technology embedded in SmartCord Live™ cords and an unique app for the driver’s smartphone. When alerted are detected, they are transmitted to the ESCORT Live™ “cloud” and then broadcast across the ESCORT Live™ network, notifying drivers of potential ticket threats. In addition to network alerts, the new smartphone app technology provides ESCORT’s industry-leading Defender® database of red light and speed-ticketing camera locations and speed traps as well as ESCORT’s patented GPS features including posted speed limit information, over-speed limit alerts, live traffic for route optimization and more.

Unique to the radar detector ticket protection category is the ESCORT Live™ community’s very-time national reach and scale. Currently there are more than 1 million ESCORT and BELTRONICS ESCORT Live™ compatible radar detectors in use throughout North America. Multiply this data gathering and sharing process by millions of miles and millions of driving hours and the result is a nation of protected ESCORT Live™ drivers.

ESCORT Live™ network users are automatically updated with the latest detector software to optimize performance and eliminate false alerts. The app features map and dashboard views with multiple alert settings based on user preference.

Question by : Credit report – repo is showing as a charge off years later?
I decided to pull up my credit report, and there is still a repo showing up on there, from 2002 (I believe, the account was opened in 2000, and I believe the repo was about 2 years later, maybe 3, my last late bill I have is from 02). However, it is listed as charged off in May of 2008, and in the other notes from Experian it also says purchased by another lender. Am I mistaken, or is this illegal for a creditor/CRA to list misinformation? I don’t know if this makes a difference, but I’m using truecredit.com to monitor my reports. The other two bureaus are clean, and from what I’ve gathered Experian tends to make some errors.I plan on sending a letter to dispute it since they won’t open up one online for me. What should I send them? Ultimately I’d hope they remove it, or at least correct that date. I have a feeling the charge off listed in 08 will appear as too recent if I decide to apply for a credit card.

Best answer:

Answer by echo
You really need to order a hard copy report from the CRA’s and not go by what True Credit is showing.Tri-merge reports are often incomplete and wrong. If you get your real report from Experian it will tell you the estimated date of removal for the repo charge off.The reporting period for the charge off would start from the first time you became 30 days late and never brought the account current. If the deficiency amount is reporting as well, the charge off should be reporting as a zero balance and the reporting period for the deficiency starts from the date the vehicle was sold (which is generally up to three months, more or less, after the repo) If you defaulted in 2002 it should be removed sometime this year.If you defaulted in 2003 it should be removed sometime next year.If you defaulted in ’02 or ’03 but experian shows that it will remain until 2015 then it had been reaged and would be a violation. If you defaulted in 2002 then you could try an obsolete dispute with Experian. If it was sold to a collection agency, you may soon find the collector sending you dun letters. The collector cannot report it once it is past the reporting period, though they can try to collect. The deficiency on the repo falls under the UCC with a 4 year statute of limitations for collecting.Article 2 of the UCC:§ 2-725(2) [a]n action for breach of any contract for [the] sale [of goods] must be commenced within four years after the cause of action has accrued. A cause of action accrues when the breach occurs . . . .

I specifically purchased my Experian credit score from MyFico and it said i had a 627. Then on the very same day i went to experian to sign up for the free trial to monitor my score throughout the next month and it said my score is 542. What gives?? this is the same credit bureau on the same day? could this just be a glitch or is one source more reliable than the other??

Best answer:

Economies of Scale Offered to the Healthcare Sector Drives Global Medical Equipment Rental and Leasing Market, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

San Jose, California (PRWEB) April 27, 2012

Follow us on LinkedIn – The dynamic changes in the medical equipment industry lead to regular and frequent upgradation of technology, resulting in the emergence of expensive medical equipment, particularly imaging equipment. With unpredictable economic conditions faced by the healthcare industry, more and more healthcare service and equipment providers are turning to leasing of medical equipment and devices. Rental and leasing of medical devices is fast catching up in the healthcare sector, repelling the traditional loan and credit purchase system. Rental and leasing of medical equipment is an affordable and quick solution for hospitals, blood banks, reference laboratories, nursing homes, physician offices, and clinics that are constrained by tightened budgets. The medical equipment leasing for hospitals and clinics provides tax benefits, coupled with conserving cash flow. The commonly leased medical equipment includes X-Ray machines, Ultrasound systems, Patient monitoring equipment, and laboratory equipment.

The economic downturn has severely affected capital budgets of various healthcare centers and hospitals, where the need for acquiring new equipment continues to provide better patient care and survive competition. As a result, several hospitals began adopting operating lease agreements in a bid to put any such acquisitions out of balance sheets. Operating leases enable cash-strapped hospitals and healthcare centers to acquire new equipment, without the need to wait for the time when capital budgets would be substantial enough to make such purchases. In addition to the renewed interest in operating leases, more and more customers showed inclination towards product bundling during the recession. Hospitals began purchasing all aspects of a system, including equipment, software, financing and services from one single source. This not only raises efficiency of the hospitals but also reduces costs. Hospitals sought lesser leasing agreements with larger bundles, even as they showed continued inclination towards diversifying financing sources.

The medical equipment leasing represents a complex market globally, and market penetration varies region-wise. Europe represents the single largest regional market for medical equipment rental and leasing worldwide, as stated by the new market research report on Medical Equipment Rental and Leasing. Leasing is growing as the most preferred alternative method for financing medical technology in countries such as France, Germany, and the UK, due to the budgetary constraints faced by most of the hospitals in Europe. Additionally, the West European region has been witnessing an increase in the incidences of chronic diseases as well as an increasing aging population. These patients are required to regularly monitor various vital parameters for managing their health, thereby creating a demand for patient monitoring devices over the recent years. As such, demand for such equipment rose in hospitals as well as in homecare settings, providing ample market opportunities for the medical equipment leasing industry.

On the other hand, emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific region, such as India, show a nascent market for medical equipment leasing. Medical equipment leasing accounts for about 2% of the medical equipment market in China, which is estimated at tens of billion dollars. This signifies a significantly lower penetration of leased equipment in the market and simultaneously a great potential that Chinese equipment market has to offer for leasing. Meanwhile, the US medical equipment leasing market witnessed significant growth over the recent years, and is presently characterized by about 35% to 40% of medical equipment in the US market being leased. With close to three-fourth of businesses in the US leasing some of their equipment, the medical equipment-leasing sector remained relatively steady, despite the onslaught of global economic downturn.

Major players profiled in the report include Access Equipment Leasing, Agfa Finance Group, Baxter Credit and Leasing Services, Direct Capital Corp., Elekta Group (Sweden), GE Healthcare Financial Services, Hill-Rom Holdings Inc., IBJ Leasing Company Ltd., IBM Global Financing, National Technology Leasing Corp., Olympus America Inc., Philips Medical Capital, Prudential Leasing Inc., Resource Diversified Services Inc., Siemens Financial Services, Stryker Corp., among others.

The research report entitling “Medical Equipment Rental and Leasing: A Global Strategic Business Report” announced by Global Industry Analysts Inc., provides a comprehensive review of the Medical Equipment Rental and Leasing markets, current market trends, key growth drivers, an insight into the global leasing industry, recent industry activity, and profiles of major/niche global as well as regional market participants.
Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) April 23, 2012

TrueLook, a leading provider of professional webcam systems, announces an unexampled solar-powered option for its webcam customers. Solar technology now allows TrueLook webcams to function in remote locations, or wherever power is difficult to access. The solar webcams are especially effective when combined with cellular internet connectivity, allowing the webcams to broadcast from virtually whatever outdoor location.

“We developed solar capabilities as a direct response to our customer needs,” said Dave Abrams, Chief Technology Officer at TrueLook. “The most common application of our new solar units is at construction sites, where power is often unavailable. Since all TrueLook products are shipped preconfigured and pre-tested, construction managers now have a ready-to-install option for monitoring and time-lapsing any job site.”

Each solar unit is able to power either a fixed-position or PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera, depending on the desired camera functionality. Batteries store solar power during the day, ensuring that cameras can be operational 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. All components are professional grade, with a rust-proof aluminum build and rugged design to withstand the outdoor elements. The solar webcam units can mount to any flat surface or to any pole 4.5 inches or greater in diameter. Optionally, the units can ship with their own pole included.

Customers who purchase solar packages may also be eligible for a 30% federal income tax credit, thanks to a solar energy tax credit that currently extends until 2017. The credit can be claimed on form 3468.

Question by Ivy: How could someone convince you to keep a credit monitoring membership?
I work for a company in which I try to keep people from leaving the membership. Many of my callers are unhappy because they didn’t remember signing up. My boss thinks that I am not pushy enough, and I do not keep many from leaving. I am trying to keep my job, however I really do not know how to keep people from cancelling this. What would you do? What could someone say to keep you from cancelling? Is your mind already made up? I am not in the bussiness to nestle, cheat or steal from anyone and know that this prodoct and company are legit.

Best answer:

Answer by bdancer222
I suggest you update your resume and look for a new job.People are upset when they call you to cancel because many have been tricked into signing up. And there are many cases where folks didn’t sign up.In my opinion, credit monitoring services are a complete waste of money. It tends to be the people who can least afford it who get roped into these services. They hope to increase the credit score or something.

CreditQ.com

Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) March 30, 2012

The site will be free to join, and takes about 5 minutes to set up an account and profile. Think Facebook and LinkedIn, but with a financial angle. CreditQ.com reports that the aim of the site is to change the financial landscape by connecting people who have financial expertise and know-how, to average consumers looking to gain the tools and techniques to become financially savvy.

Part of what makes this new site unique for a financial website is that its target audience is fairly broad: financial professionals, as well as financial bloggers and writers, and consumers seeking information about financial products and services, are all encouraged to sign up. What makes the site so innovative is that it links groups of people and promotes social interaction, thus eliminating many of the barriers and hassles associated with finding useful financial information. The result is that consumers no longer need to scour the internet for hours looking for advice that may be outdated or inaccurate. Instead they have access to professionals in the field that they can directly engage.

CreditQ Social features interactive applications and modules, some of which are ubiquitous on social networking sites (like an instant message/chat feature, the ability to post comments/photos/videos to profiles, customization of information detailed on each page, and privacy settings). However, other aspects of the design are totally exclusive to the site, like its business directory, “Groups” feature, goal management application, and platforms for posting blogs and articles directly to the website.

Also unique, the site provides different types of profiles, depending on what type of account an user signs up for. For example, business and financial professionals have profiles that offer unique interfaces and interactions, signaling to other users that the profile belongs to someone in the financial services industry. One of the advantages of being listed as a professional member is the ability to publish original content right onto the site. As well, members who have general profiles can make the most of the site’s personal finance tools, along with various other features designed to help these members find information that’s most useful to them.

About CreditQ.com:
CreditQ.com strives to deliver pertinent, accurate, and useful information to consumers concerned in all aspects of financial planning and personal finance. As an online financial resource center, the company provides direct access to assigning card applications, credit report monitoring companies insurance providers, investment guidelines, latest mortgage rates and more. Additionally, the site also endeavors to disseminate appropriate and helpful information through the publication of articles, news-related releases, blog postings, discussion forums, and additional content that addresses changes within the financial industry. The company is always looking for financial experts, and/or anyone with specialised knowledge and engage in financial topics, to contribute in a meaningful way to its site.
