Laptop is garbage what parts should I keep?

It’s a 3 year old laptop with a few issues that I did not want to pour money into fixing, so I took it apart and do not intend on putting it back together. Is there anything I can do with the leftovers?

Are there any parts I should break so garbage-searchers wouldn’t find and know my passwords and credit card numbers?

Anything cool to do with a fan or a disk drive or monitor?
